I'm a lover of gnocchi but unfortunately I've recently moved and it doesn't seem to be particularly popular here; which means that I'm going to start cooking it for myself and my husband instead of going out to eat when I want it. As a small, early Christmas gift, my girlfriend gave me a single Tahitian vanilla bean. I'd love to turn it into a dessert of some sort, but I've no idea what to make. I somehow managed to volunteer myself to make a red velvet cake for a friend's party on Saturday. I've made it before but alas have lost the recipe I used.

My aunt used to make these wonderful home made snickers bars (more brownie/blondie sized) every christmas and there were SOOOOO good! I'd like to find a recipe for them, but I haven't had much luck coming up with one that has peanuts, chocolate, caramel & the much needed nougat layer.
